2011 will mark its 5th year and it will be the best ever! Come over to sunny Mill Valley, California for five days of awesome rides and stellar tuition. We’ll have professional coaches, as well as experts in nutrition, yoga and massage on hand. Marin County’s quiet roads, redwood groves, and coffee stops make it a prime cycling destination. The camp takes place at the lovely, peaceful Ralston White Retreat. Our sponsors include LifeCycle Adventures, Quarq, StudioVelo and Clif Bar.

Tuesday, March 22
8:00-9:30am Breakfast , introductions, and presentation: Power - How to train and race with a power meter
9:45am - 1:45pm - 45 miles. During the ride, we will be conducting 1 minute and 5 minutes which will be later on analyzed by our coaches
2:00 - 3:00pm - Lunch
3:30 - 4:00pm – Cornering and Descending Clinic
4:00 - 6:00pm – Massages and 1-on-1 Power Analysis appointments with coaches
6:00pm - Dinner


Wednesday, March 23
8:00-9:00am Breakfast and Presentation: TBD.
9:30am - 1:30pm – Sprint and Race Finish Scenarios Day. 10 mile warm up. Practice big and small ring sprints. Split into teams and do team lead outs and race finishing scenarios.
1:30-2:30pm – Lunch
2:30- 5:30pm – Massages and Power Analysis
5:30- 6:15pm - Yoga Class with Stacey Royce
6:15pm – Dinner


Thursday, March 24
8:00-9:00am Breakfast and Presentation: TBD
9:30am - 1:30pm Ride - Do the Mt Tam Hillclimb Course. Ride to top of Tam afterwards
1:30pm - 2:30pm -Lunch
5:30- 6:15pm - Yoga Class with Stacey Royce
2:30- 6:00 pm – Massages and analysis of the Time Trial results and data
6:00pm – Dinner


Friday, March 25

9:30am to 1:30pm - 50 mile loop with lots of climbing
1:30 to 2:30pm – Lunch
5:30- 6:15pm - Yoga Class with Stacey Royce

Saturday, March 26
7:00-8:00am Breakfast
8:30 am to 2:30 pm - Long Ride – Marshall-Olema. 95 Miles
2:30 – 5:30pm Late lunch, power analysis, and massage at RWR
5:30pm Departure

Requirements

This camp is for intermediate cyclists who have raced or would like to start racing. There is no minimum fitness requirement, but keep in mind that Marin County is very hilly.

Cancellation Policy

If you cancel 10 days or more prior to your scheduled departure for this adventure then you will be able to reschedule with the outfitter. Unfortunately, reimbursements will not be given. If any cancellation is made less than 10 days prior to your scheduled departure for this adventure then you will lose the complete value of your experience.

Refund Policy

Once you have booked a custom adventure with the outfitter, if your adventure must be canceled due to circumstances outside of your own (e.g. weather or size of party), the outfitter will work with you to reschedule for no extra fees. If rescheduling is not possible, you will be reimbursed the total amount of your purchase, net a 12.2% administrative fee.

Clothing & Gear

Riders must bring their cycling clothes, bikes, shoes, and helmets. Bring enough to prepare for the unlikely event of wet and/or chilly weather. Also, bring a jacket for the cool evenings at the Retreat.

Price Includes

All lodging and meals at beautiful Ralston White Retreat in Mill Valley, full coaching tuition, one half-hour massage, on-road support, and full-time mechanical support. Use of spare wheels and demo power meters from Quarq Technology. As many Clif Bars as you want!

Price Doesn't Include

airfare, transportation to/from the Retreat, lodging and meals prior to or after the camp.

Weather

This camp will run no matter what the weather, although it's normally in the 70s and sunny!
